What we do
Customised, adaptable and future-proof apps for the smartphone age.
89up develop apps for civil society. Our technologists can help you with a specific software project for your cause. Whether developing a web app, or open source software, we find the solution to your precise needs.
All our web platforms for NGOs are mobile-first allowing them to be accessed on the go. Building specific mobile apps for iOS, Android and Windows Phone is expensive. Your web apps need to be multi-platform first.
By building a highly customised web platform rather than mobile apps, you can save money and future-proof yourself in case an operating systems change or become obsolete.
89up tackles complex tasks with the simplest solutions to ensure maximum cross browser and responsive design compatibility.
Our technologists can build you a web platform that can perform the precise functions your organisation requires.
Case study: Start A Fire
89up is developing a world-class campaigning platform for NGOs and non-profits. Working with the Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust, we have developed the platform placing the user first after focus group feedback on the specific application features that our target audience required.
Start A Fire is a complex web application that has been built to handle millions of user interactions daily. It is developed in python and every part of the application has been custom coded in order to provide us with the exact features and performance we require.
89up has used agile development to ensure this major piece of application development is to be completed on time and on budget.
