89up is delighted to announce a new partnership with BRITDOC to provide impact distribution for Paul Mason and Theopi Skarlatos’s new film series #ThisIsACoup – a behind-the-scenes account of the Greek sovereign debt crisis. The films will be launched on Laura Poitras’ new documentary platform, developed in collaboration with First Look Media and the The Intercept’s Field_Of_Vision.

The films dramatically set out how, far from being a purely state finance matter, the crisis triggered one of the biggest challenges to democracy in 2015. 89up has been commissioned to distribute the film series using online social media and traditional PR to build awareness of the film and the issues it raises.

The films will be free to watch on Field_Of_Vision and the impact distribution aims to engage audiences from the US to across the EU in order to drive awareness of the critical need for debt relief for Greece.

89up is a social impact agency that specialises in PR for charities and NGOs. The company was founded in 2009 and has 12 staff and 15 associates in London and Barcelona.
